Aloha, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Cecilia Santos and I will continue as the new Follow the Voyage Editor.  I hope to capture some exciting photos of the crew, as they navigate our way to Lahaina - Maui, San Diego and back to Vallejo.

110 in the Shade - El Golfo de Fonseca

The air is 110 degrees!   I'm not talking about the air surrounding the Golden Bear; I'm referring to the air down in the engine room.  If the mechanical skills of the licensed and student engineers on the Golden Bear were not impressive enough, the typical work environment in the engine room is hot enough to melt the medals the engineers deserve.  In that environment, the engineers can't even wear light… Continue reading this post...
